This summer marks the release of multiple anticipated films. Including new diversity, sequels, and remakes of classics.

 

Godzilla: King of Monsters – This highly anticipated film is set to be released on May 31, in all theatres. The movie, produced by Legendary Films as well as Warner Brothers, continues the story of the iconic monster, Godzilla, and his role of protecting the world. Along with the additions of new unseen monsters. The film stars Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga, and many other accomplished actors. This film is highly anticipated and could prove to be a thrilling experience.

 

Dark Phoenix – The newest X-Men, well-known starring Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, is set to be released on June 7. Produced by Marvel Entertainment, it continues the story of a group of heroes with supernatural abilities trying to stop a former friend and student from destroying them and the world. The cast list is full of successful and recognized actors and actresses: Including Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, and Michael Fassbender. This film is excellent for X-Men fans, or those looking to get into the series.

 

Men in Black: International – Men in Black is a classic action movie, and the newest remake is decided to be released on June 14. A unique aspect of this take is one of the main characters being a woman. Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson co-starring and work excellently together seen in Thor: Ragnarok. With a perfect mix of action and comedy, Men in Black: International is supposed to be a popular movie.

 

Toy Story 4 – This highly anticipated film continues the story of the iconic Toy Story trilogy with everyone’s favorite characters. Woody, Buzz, and all the gang are back to keep their new friend happy no matter what. When her new favorite toy leaves, the group takes it upon themselves to get him back. This film has the same iconic voices with the addition of Tony Hale will be another classic from Disney. Go out and see Toy Story 4 in theatres June 21st.

 

Child’s Play – This movie brings back nostalgia from the iconic pop-culture phenomenon of the first Chucky. The set release date is June 21. This horror movie retells the story of a serial killing doll that comes to life. Brad Dourif will not be returning to be the voice of Chucky and the producer, KatzSmith Productions is not releasing the identity of the new voiceover. This adds to the suspense and overall excitement for the release of the retake on a classic horror film.

 

Spiderman: Far From Home – This movie is going to be the second of the new spiderman trilogy. The film stars the friendly neighborhood Spiderman, played by Tom Holland, travel to Europe on vacation but is soon recruited by Nick Fury. The film also stars famous actors like Zendaya and Jake Gyllenhaal. Go out to a theatre near you on July 5th to this highly anticipated film.

 

The Lion King – This is the most highly anticipated film for the summer. The same Disney classic remade into a blend of CGI and live action to tell the same timeless story with realistic animals. The movie will come out in all theatres on July 19th. The film stars Donald Glover, Beyonce, and James Earl Jones; the new Lion King is set to be a showstopping release.
